Two Sunday’s ago B and I headed out to get four more state park caches. We found ourselves in a favorite dinner spot, Engine House No. 9 in Tacoma. Since we were so close and it wasn’t too late we decided to head on over to the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium for their Zoo Lights.
Above, an ape that swung over the walkway.
The difference between Point Defiance and the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle is you get to visit a few of the exhibits.
These Tigers were really not in the mood to entertain visitors that evening.
Camel rides for the kids [and kids at heart]. This is Augustus.
The aquarium was one of the exhibits that was open and the lighting was great for photo taking!
The colors of these Anemones came out amazing!
B got to pet some goats.
We saw some Meerkat’s.
They had this great purple tree and peacock. The peacock lit up in sequence.
This polar bear scene had penguins and you can see Mount Rainier in the background.
It was a cold night but thankfully no rain so we were able to wander for about an hour and a half to see everything.
